TI-Nspire™ CX / CX CAS – Resource Hub for Users
On this site you will find a comprehensive collection of tips, guides and materials for using TI-Nspire™ CX CAS technology. We provide support and inspiration for software users – from students to teachers. Most guides are based on the CAS version, but are also partially applicable to the numeric CX version. Writing Explanations with Calculations

The Notes application allows you to combine text with mathematical and chemical notation, enabling you to create a seamless whole.
CAS – Computer Algebra System for symbolic calculation

TI-Nspire CAS enables complex calculations such as solving equations, simplifying expressions, and performing symbolic integration.
Automatic units and physical constants – Avoid mistakes and save time

TI-Nspire automatically recognizes and converts units, and includes a broad collection of physical constants. This reduces unit errors and speeds up solving problems, especially in physics and chemistry.
TI-Nspire™ Widget – Drawing add-ons for physics, chemistry and mathematics

Widget add-ons enable drawing circuit diagrams, force diagrams, structural formulas and other visual elements for assignments and exams. Teachers can also use the drawing tools to create exam questions.
Calculator

The Calculator application is best suited for line-by-line calculations when no textual explanations are needed. If you want to combine reasoning or dynamic calculations, the Notes application may be a better choice. Calculator also includes the popular 'ans' memory feature, allowing you to refer to the previous result or perform iterative methods like Newton’s method.
Graphs

The Graphs application is ideal for plotting and analyzing functions, exploring analytic geometry, and visualizing difficult concepts such as derivatives and integrals. You can click coordinates to investigate tangent lines or calculate the value of a definite integral.
Geometry

The Geometry application is ideal for dynamic constructions and geometric explorations. You can investigate angles, shapes, and relationships in classic geometric setups.
Lists & Spreadsheet

The Lists & Spreadsheet app offers spreadsheet functionality familiar to most users, but enhanced with mathematical features. You can use math templates directly in cells and take advantage of CAS capabilities like derivatives. Data entered in cells is stored as a list using the column header as the list name. You can also define a rule for an entire column using the formula bar, without copying the formula into each individual cell.
Data & Statistics

The Data & Statistics application is designed for visualizing data. You can easily plot graphs and link them to variables or mathematical models defined in spreadsheets.
Notes

The Notes application lets you combine text and math seamlessly, enabling you to quickly write down solutions in digital format. A unique feature is its dynamic nature – when you edit expressions or adjust sliders, the results update automatically.
Vernier DataQuest™

Designed for measurement, but also enables powerful numerical analysis of existing data including interpolation, tangents, integrals and curve fitting.
Python

The menu-driven interface makes it easy to explore Python programming. You can link with TI-Nspire variables, lists and functions.
Widget

The Widget application enhances TI-Nspire with drawing tools for creating visual representations like circuit diagrams, force diagrams and structural formulas. Ideal for assignments, exams and instructional illustrations.
